Dear Andy,

You have an amazing attitude and internal power. I was fortunate enough to have met you during a meeting with my business associate Pat Kitano. When Pat told me about your blog, I was ecstatic over the subject matter of spirituality. Your writing and story telling really hit home bringing forward great positivity and heart. I am a fan of spiritual positive thinking; you provide both with "abundance."

Please consider looking at the positive messages about abundance, the universe, and "A Course In Miracles" at sanctuaryforchange. I hope this adds to your great message; best wishes for continued success!

Suffering is part of the process. We can't apprecite how good life is without suffering. I like what you said about not wallowing in it. I declare the breakdowns as "perfect" in the sense that every failure is one step closer towards the realization of the end result. When we let go of being perfect and expecting everything to work out the way we want it, we can experience the blessing of being in the "moment." Things may not turn out the way we want them to, but that's okay because I'm encouraged of the promise God made in Jeremiah 29:11. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." It eases the discomfort of this recovering control freak as he lets go and lets God.

Wow ... big dreams. I've been thinking about "abundance" and contemplating how it coincides or meshes with authenticity. To be honest it's hard to imagine an authentic life without any suffering. I think it's because suffering in this world and lifetime is unavoidable. Not that we have to wallow in it, especially when God has redeemed us from it already. I suppose I want to know more, read more, about your thoughts on suffering - what an authentic abundant approach to life's suffering looks like. What's God been saying lately?

cool story. i can see how having an unworthy mindset would limit you from experiencing more of God's gifts for you, whether material, emotional, or spiritual. Praise God that He keeps gifting you despite your resistance, even with or especially with this wonderful insight. Hallelujah for freedom in living in Christ!

We share the same complex... my uncle, a Japanese American sociologist traces the complex, in simple terms, to the Japanese cultural propensity to fit into the system... compounded with the shameful feelings of WWII and the camps the Japanese Americans were sent to. Many Japanese Americans did not feel outrage (my parents never expressed it) at being uprooted in 1942... they sucked it up and rationalized it as fitting into the system (an American one). The work ethic (Japanese men die from overwork in Tokyo) is compensation for that unworthiness feeling that lies unexpressed within. Yes, I understand the feeling.

Andy, as my neighbours would say, Mazel Tov! Congratulations, you are on your way brother ... keep at it. Many, many, many insights, people, opportunities are going to become apparent to you as you continue this journey that never would of happened if you hadn't started this journey!

Way to go brother (that's coming from another mother)!
